You can get as good or better. It all depends on the the guy that tuned it. Most of them out their are amatures in my opinion. Find a good one.

loose the true duals and keep the slip ons. your numbers sound good but not in the useable rpm range. probably needs a different dyno operator

Hey arent 510's a higher rpm cam? I have se203's in my 06 ultra. great low to mid torque. I have an 05 with 257's and a 95 in kit. Not much torque til about 4 grand then it screams!

Pretty close, I found the sheet, it's 68.09 HP and 75.49 Torque peak right now. And it seems to run a little hot to me, the pipes are hotter than they once were a year or so ago.

I'm not sure if I should take it to a tuner or get some sort of auto tune thing, I'm still trying to figure all that stuff out. I would like it to run a little cooler like it used to, and if I can get a few more HP out of what I got, it wouldn't hurt my feelings.

I may have to replace the cam chain tensioners at some point, so I may do some upgrades then, but I don't want to sacrifice touring reliability, so I have some thinking and research to do I guess...

Thanks for the response though.

I've been getting mileage numbers just over 40 mpg, but I've been running her a bit hard lately.... Hmmmm, I can't figure out why! LOL

Unfortunately, my compression numbers are way too high with this cam, so I need to make a cam-swap!!

05 Road King, 114 Cu In, 10.5:1 comp, Ported Heads w/ 1.94 intake & 1.63 exhaust values, Mechanical compression release, S&S 585 gear drive cams, V-thunder push rods, Crane cam 165lb. valve springs, S&S super G w/ Thunderjet Carb. Dayton adjustable ignition module, Vance & Hinse exhaust. Dyno to rear wheels 119 ft lb torque and 105 HP. The great thing about this build is the ride-ability of it, it's producing over 100 ft lb of torque at 2500 rpm's and stays above that until 5700 rpm's. she's a real stump puller as I've always said there's nothing like torque when you roll on the throttle

Those are pretty nice numbers. Do you have any head work done to it ? How do you like the 510 gear drive cams ? Not noisy ? Congrats on the numbers.

Ay this time running stock heads. I hope that's the next upgrade. New heads should give some more power and compression. Make a smoother running engine too. A stock 103 is about 9.6ft/lbs comp. Higher compression/more torque. I don't want an everyday ride bike/tourer too radical. More engine... more work on it. less riding it.
SS510 gear cams are better than chain stock cams.
thanks bro and ride safe...
