DYNO Numbers for Baggers???

So, I'm going with SE big bore forged high compression pistons (p/n 22868-00) and HD/SE cylinders, and am thinking about going on up to a 37G cam, and I could just use my stock heads? Do you think I'll need compression releases with those pistons?

Tough to say Dave without knowing the chamber volume of your heads. I plugged your numbers into the Big Boyz compression calculator and used the 85cc default for the chamber volume. If that is correct (I suspect it's not), you are going to be way to high for 37's. It would be an absolute ping monster. The compression calc can be found here:

I don't think there's anything wrong with that cam. It should be good for another 10 hp and 10 ft/lbs if everything is working as it should. I think Rick's going to be a lot happier once he gets it re-tuned.

Well from what I see ,first thing you need to learn is stop using S/E parts Im not tryn to be wise either lets just say ive lived and learned I have a 07 ultra that has had the top end rebuilt 4 times not cause anything was wrong other than the recommended combos didnt perform like was claimed to,,,,,,After the 3rd time i did alot of my own reasearchand come up with a combo that really satified me,,,,,motor is complete on bike and broke in need to dyno and final tune,,,,,,,But last Saturday I smoked a 2002 titian gecko 96 S&S 585 cams from a dead stop or rolling,,,,,I know have a 106 in motor very much so modified one of my earlier post give specifics on motor ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Good Luck

I agree with some of the previous comments. The tune is suspect at this point. I would suggest making a call to RC Cycles in Hayward and set up a tuning appointment. You will not be sorry. Once that is done, if the performance still is not there you can start second guessing your parts combo. Don't know much about SE parts so I'm not going to comment on that. Get it tuned up by RC and then see what you have.

Yes, my bike was tuned at RC Cycles, so I am speaking from experience.

I've been away from the forum for awhile due to health and work but now i'm back. I put a 110" in my bike about 600 miles before i parked it for the winter. I am trying a few differnt (unpopular) combinations just to see what it'll do. My previous build was just a stage II (96", 211 cams, Hooker slip ons and SERT). I bought the S.E. 110 kit, had the heads flowed by Roeder Racing in Monroeville, Ohio (thanks George), I decided to set the 255 cams that came in the kit aside for now and keep the 211's in it, since the 211's don't make much cranking compression ( around 165 Lbs.) I decided to set the S.E. 110" pistons aside with the cams and I bought a set of T-man 10.8: 1's, I got my cranking compression up to 223 front and 225 rear so I am pretty pleased. On the break in MAP I am running I made 112 HP and 123 FT. LBS., that was at 4500 RPM's and te lines were climbing pretty good. I decided to leave the Hooker slip on's on it and make a few full RPM passes before the final tuning, then I will put on a set of Fat Cat 2 into 1's and tune it to that just for a comparison between the pipes. Then i'll start to play around with some differn't throttle bodies and see what it'll do.

Very nice looking dyno sheet. Lines look nice, a/f line looks pretty good. Ran in S.A.E. Good job, good tune congrats. Enjoy your ride!!
