Divertim - Please don't take this as bashing, as I'm really serious about the question. What is this bike really like to ride. If it were a Dyna or Softail I wouldn't begin to question it, but I see it's a bagger, so I'm curious if this build is what you really were after.

The HP numbers on this are really good for a 98" motor, but it all occurs at a very high rpm. At 3.0k rpm the engine is making 55hp and 90tq. Seems like downshifting would be required to make any passing power?

What is the real world ride like with that build?

Thanks,
Zach

It is very well mannered to drive. I can be cruising in 5th gear at 60 mph and roll on the throttle to pass. I have a Aspen Classic tent camper I pull with it. I have no problems with it at all. It does rev very quickly when you grab a hand full of throttle. I picked this build because it suits my riding style.

That's great to hear. I would have thought with a bagger (especially one pulling a trailer) that you would have been after as much tq as you could get as low in the rpm range as you could get it. What I had forgotten was the numerous times I have read about how quickly those R&R parts rev. Sounds like you're happy, which is all that matters. Congrats.

I have a 2009 FLHX (Street Glide). I have many upgrades and modifications in mind but right now I'm looking for the best combo for exhaust, air intake & EFI (either add on or replacement module) to make the most HP & Torque. I do have access to a Dyno, but simple tuning or a trip to my local Harley dealer for an upload is preferred.
I was looking at BUB 7 True Duals, SE (Screamin' Eagle) Heavy Breather kit & Zipper's Thunder-max with Auto Tune (replacement ECM) but as of now Thunder-Max will not fit 2008-2009 TBW (Throttle by wire) Bikes. Since I'll be spending $2000 - $3000 on this upgrade I would appreciate any input you might have.

Thanks,
Dave

Personally I would go for the SEST, When you go wide open throttle with the TBW bikes, there is a delay in it, with the SEST you can spped that delay up. Makes acceleration ALLOT faster.
