DYNO Numbers for Baggers???

Hello All

this weekend in Milwaukee I had Cycle Solutions remap and dyno my bike.
Do these numbers sound right? I thought my torque numbers were a bit low.

2006 Ultra Classic
stock bore
S.E. air cleaner w/ KN air filter
D and D Fatcat 2 into 1
S.E. 203 cams

Before remapping HP 75.83 Torque 76.50
After HP 82.75 Torque 77.94

It is reaching peak HP high in RPM range.

Any ideas to get torque numbers up?

Just had mine retuned.
2005 RKC
Bassani power curve head pipes.
Hooker tuned slip ons
andrews 37b cams
SERT
72.48 hp
88.42 ft-lbs

Pretty happy with it.
 
2006 flhti rinehart 2into1 se air cleaner with zippers element, sert, 82.5 hp 81 tg friend has 06 flhxi withe rinehart duals, se aircleaner and pcIII 79.5 hp 84 tq
 
I've used cycle solutions a couple times at a rally in Florida...Chris is an ok tuner...he doesn't tune the cylinders individually nor does he adjust timing, and you may pick up a little power by having those things done...he has the latest model 250i dyno and shows results in sae correction...his numbers are lower than a lot of other dynos

you would benefit a lot by having more compression...the easiest way to get it is by going to 95" with flattop pistons

or another route would be to use a smaller cam more suited to stock compression...maybe an andrews 21
 
Just an FYI...Las Vegas Harley Davidson has a customer's 2008 FLHTCU with a 103 Kit from T-Man Performance using, Forged 103 Pistons 10.5 -11.1 from T-Man, Stage III T-Man Heads with 1.94 Intake Valves with 1.80 intake port and 1.615 exhaust valves, 58mm Throttle Body, yellow band injectors, 2 into 1 (D & D Boarzilla pipe), Roller Rockers, T-Man 662 cams(custom made Chain cams), Automatic Compression Releases, and using a stock crank .... This bike supposedly ran 125 Horse Power and 130 Torque. I saw the bike and it idled so smooth - you would have thought it was a Softail with a "B" Motor. Not bad - for a 2008 Throttle By Wire bike with the new gearing ratios.
 
Without a dyno sheet is kinda hard giving an opinion but I'll give it a shot for what it may or may not be worth. Looking at the before and after numbers, it appears the tuner used pretty much a "canned" map going for the highest HP numbers he could get without doing a lot of fine tuning (timing/AFR). A lot of tuners think the higher the HP numbers are, the happier the customer will be. I have 203's in my Y2K RK, carbed and if you look back a few pages (87) you'll see what I've done. I'm guessing but I think you're getting on the cams a little late and off a little early (timing). Thats why your HP numbers look good but your torque numbers are on the low side. If you look at my dyno numbers, my torque curve is optimal at about 4000-4200 rpm which is where yours should be if your looking for torque with 203's.
Bottom line, a Power Commander or PC III would help you adjust your timing and you can find the "sweet spot" easier and the tuner can then make a map specific to your combination.
It takes time but a good tuner can do it, hell I made 20 passes over a week to get mine where i wanted it.
Your bike should easily run low 80's HP and low 90's ft/lbs torque, with your setup and header.
Should would help to see the dyno print out though.
Just an FYI, but mine currently hits close to 80HP and 93ft/lbs torque.
Granted, I had the heads cleaned up some but nothing special along with being carbed, running stock headpipe and slip-ons.
If I put on the ProPipe I had back on, easy 85+hp at close to 100ft/lbs torque.

This was done by local stealer. Bike ran ok, fuel mileage was big disappointment and for spending $359 for install and tune, felt like it should do better.
Talked to Doc1 on these pages and he recommended Zepka H-D and specifically, Brian Beckley there in Johnstown, PA. I am in Cleveland, OH area and decided the four hour trip with a buddy would be worth it. This is a great dealership, by the way, from the owner to the service folks, all top notch and Doc worked there at one time.

Long story shortened, here are new numbers with equipment being exactly the same:
hp = 71.85
tq = 84.83
mpg = 42-47.8
Bike runs great, with much better throttle response and besides the obvious number bumps, the mpg is now super for me. Brian had bike on the dyno for 4 hours and really did a great job letting me see what was going on at anytime I dropped in. In the end, the tuner really does make a difference as we all know. Cost for this tune from Zepka's was $200 and they let me have a car for no cost while they were tuning.

2004 Classic. SE air cleaner.Bassani road rage 2:1. Everything else stock-carburated.82.7 ft.lbs. torque,70.7 hp.Torque graph is straight across til 4100 then drops off.Peak hp. is at 5300. Air/fuel is 13 -13.1 across the pull. It`ll be way different in the spring.Just got it a month ago.Toby
