DYNO Numbers for Baggers???

Well I just picked my bike up from the DYNO shop.(they used a DynoJet, Dyno) The bike is a 2006 Road King Custom with Rinehart slip on's, and the Scream-in Eagle air cleaner (some call this stage one). For the last 1000 miles or so I have been running a canned map for my PC III from Power Commander.

My first run (pre-tune) was 69.08 HP and 76.97 torque. (This was the canned map for my set up, they put in the PC III when I got it)

Final Run after tune was 73.15 HP and 78.82 torque.

Will edit this after I get a few hundred miles on this tune to let everyone know what I think about it and what my gas mileage is looking like. The ride home felt good not as much decell popping, more a rumbling now.

05 Roadking custom
HTCC CNC PORTED Heads
HTCC Pistons
Woods 6HG cams
SE rollers and SE pushrods
6 Speed Tranny
3.37 gears
Rineheart true duals
96 hp 100 tq
The numbers are not that great but it runs strong,TQ hits 100 at 3800 rpms,I have run SE 257,251 cams and the woods cams is what I was looking for.

Well in my quest for more power, I got sucked in by Kuryakyn's hype over their large EFI throttle bodies. I lost 3 horse and 5 foot pounds of torque....save your money!!!!![:@]

SE stage one filter/rienharts/power commander 76.44 hp, 79.22 tq
Haven't had it hooked to trailer, or my girl on back yet, but we'll get her all loaded up and then we'll see how it all works out

HI All,
I too want to express how AWESOME these forums are for me. It's helped me volumes when relating issues/changes on my bagger.

So, I just had my bike DYNO'ed at NWHD over here in Lacey, Wa. and here are the numbers and view I get off the DYNO Chart.

My First question to everyone, with the components I've put into the motor should I be getting better numbers?

Second question is: Can anyone see if I need something additional to remove the flat part of the DYNO from 5K-6.3K? My belief is that I have more engine, but it maybe not getting enough AIR to allow it to continue. OR it could be just the SE Throttle Body isn't allowing enough volume thru it?

Here is what I've done to the stock TC88
1.) SE HTCC Heads(D Style for better torque)
2.) SE HTCC Pistons(10.5:1)
3.) SE HTCC manifold - Went this way to try to offset the Low RPM TQ loss from the Rinehart True Duals
4.) SE Big Bore 95" Cylinders
5.) Perfect Fit Pushrods
6.) S&S 570G
7.) S&S 4 Gear Kit (Bearings included)
8.) SE High Pro Clutch
9.) SE Race Tuner
10.) Rinehart True Duals
11.) Kuryakn Hyper Charger PRO (new design)

Here are the numbers:
Original
STOCK TC88:
Max TQ = 70
Max HP = 59

Upgraded to TC95" and all other goodies previously listed:
PRE DYNO:
MAX TQ = 86.6
MAX HP = 73.4

POST DYNO:
MAX TQ = 99.2
MAX HP = 83.6

After about 5K she flattens out or drops some and then, of course, drops off at 6.3K.

Let me know what you think... I value HIGHLY everyones opinions.

Thanks

Contact the Tech department at Bub Enterprises; the folks that make the Rinehart True Duals. They have probably worked with virtually every engine modification combination possible with the HD twin cam, and can tell you if Air is a problem.

You might be on the right track. The HD dealership I use recommends not installing Rinehart True Duals on heavily modified engines.

Also, I am not familiar with the throttle body you selected (I haven't cracked the case on my 04 EG and probably won't for a year or two), but when doing the Rinehart True Duals, Stage I a/c, and Terry Components Terminal Velocity II installation, I spoke at length with the engineer at Terry Components and he was very specific about the stock throttle body being a big limiting factor on horsepower and torque because it cannot handle enough air for seriously increased cc's, cam lift and duration, etc.
