DYNO Numbers for Baggers???

New dyno numbers in:

I was hoping for more......here's what I got changing from S.E.Slip on exhaust to Super Trapp 2 into 1 system.
Gained 3 horse and lost 9/10's of a foot pound of torque, dissapointed but oh well.....
Bike now has 99 horse and 95 foot pounds of torque. It was not worth the change from my S.E.Slip on's considering the cost with what was the result. It shows me the Super Trapp's weren't a big improvment over the Harley S.E.Slip on Touring Performance mufflers. All though I have a nice flat torque curve starting at 75 foot pounds of torque at 2000 rpm and climbing to 95.1 at 3200 rpm it doesn't start dropping untill 5400 rpm. Cam is still building power at 6300 rpm [rev limiter setting]. Well after studying my dyno chart closer I have picked up 10 foot pounds of torque at 3200 rpm, this should make a big difference in riding....so I am smiling now after looking closer at chart! As a added note to this, these numbers were acomplished using old gas with Stabil in it.

Here's Mine,

2005 Ultra 1450 with these mods only:
Screamin' Eagle Air Cleaner Kit 29440-99C
Screamin' Eagle Pro One-Performance Mufflers 64903-99
Screamin' Eagle Pro EFI Race Tuner 32107-01D

76 HP & 82 TQ

My dyno sheet:

My air fuel chart:

magnoliarunner

Stock Road Glide (88cui)
V&H Basic Slash Cuts
K&N air cleaner
stage 1 ECM download

pre dyno: 68.46HP, 68.42 ft-lbs

post dyno: 69.99 HP, 69.7 ft-lbs

Pre dyno the bike ran fine on the stage 1 down load. After addition of the PCIII and dyno run the bike popped, backfired, and ran lean, lean, lean[:@]. After I brought it home, I tried several different maps and downloads for the PCIII until I got it running to my satisfaction (seat of the pants dyno) and no pops, no backfires, and the plugs were tan not white. Plus I was getting 43 mpg instead of 37 mpg. The map I finalized on was M807-015 (V&H Classic Taperd Slip-ons, stock ECM, and SE air cleaner). I will never again pay for some block head technition to **** up my ride. I want my ride to feel good to me and not look good on paper.

Since then I have gone to the configuration listed in my sig. This set up gives minor problems as outlined elsewhere on this forum but otherwise runs great on the trial map that Steve (HDWRENCH) loaded at the time of the conversion. I'm actually afraid to dyno it as it runs gud just the way it is.

2006 Road King Classic

SE 203 cams
Stock heads

Max hp 67.50
Max Tq 72.50

Dynotuned w/PowerCommander III

Max hp 84.65

It has become very apparent that I need some headwork, then maybe some gear-driven cams..........where does it end?

My scanner sucks, I tried to make it more visable. Lost the numbers but you can see the hp/tq lines

Bruce - Not sure who you are thinking about for your heads, but I hear nothing but good things about this shop. www.deweyspegs.com

From what I understand he can set up your heads for specifc cams. Let him know what you are looking for and he can make it happen. I have no idea how much any of it costs though.

I went with BC Gerolamy heads on my 95" build. www.bcheads.com
I have the S&S 510 gear drives. 87hp and 94tq. My builder recommended I switch to Andrews 37G cams and I would be right around 100 on the tq side. I already had the 510s so I stayed with them.

Heads and cams can get tricky. Make sure you talk to a lot of knowlegable people and get what matches your riding style.

Good luck

HI, i am a new member... i have 02 road king 95 ci stage one.. stock cams.. flat tops.. vance and hines slip ons dynoed 75 lb/ft and 64 hp....

i then changed to a vance and hines pro pipe and dynoed again....also i have only a stage 1 download.. no power comm.. or sert or anything...the pro pipe dynoed 81lb/ft and 69 hp.

fuel ratio is leanest at lower rpm and shades lean throughout the powerband running mostly average of 13.5 on the ratio ......the bike is presently in the shop getting the 203 cams and a stage 2 download... then i will have to decide which tuning agent i want to go with....

Thanks for the links[sm=smiley20.gif] Can't have enough to read. But fortunately I have a friend that has broken just about every piece on his Roak King in the quest for more power. He's the one that also owns the turbo 'Busa too. So I favor most things that come out of his mouth, cuz its the old thing..........Been There, Done That thing! LOL

From my Shovelhead days, Jerry Branch was the man to go to. I understand he has since sold his shop to one of the fellas that worked for him. They also have their own grinds cut by, I believe, Andrews. The new website is www.BranchFlowMetrics.com.
This is who my buddy ended up with, so Iam planning to pull the motor apart and send my heads to him and go the gear driven route. But since spring time has started here in Jersey, 70 yesterday...rain today, Iam going to ride this bit*h and wait till late fall to do something. Unless I get impatient[sm=icon_rofl.gif]
