DVDs You Had Never Seen, Just Picked Up and Were Glad You Bought Them

I always try one 'lucky dip' DVD a year.

Last year it was 'CQ' with Jermey Davies by Roman Coppola which was real fun (especially if you like Mario Bava movies like 'Danger Diabolik') and this year I got 'Renegade' aka 'Blueberry' a UK/French/Mexican Western based on the Moebius comic strips with Vincent Cassel, Colm Meany, Michael Masden, Juliette and Geoffrey Lewis and Eddie Izzard- the only way I can describe it is 'The Good The Bad and the Ugly' meets 2001. Weird!

Driven, a few annoying plot things (why would the graphics on German TV be in a americanised-German and English?) but agood film (if a Days of Thunder rip off!)

One of them when your in the store and it's 5 for

Mallrats
Flatliners
From dusk till dawn
Shallow grave
Mississippi burning
To end all wars
The usual suspects

usually stick to films i have seen and often no brainer comedy or action films - easy repeat watching.

i have loaRAB of dvRAB i have never herd/seen.

what i do is buy them knowing who the actor/actress is e.g i have got almost of Skeet Ulrichs films since seeing him in Takedown/Track Down/Cybertr@e (all the same film under diff names)

Takedown was a film i had never see but i downloaded it (as the dvd was banned world wide) and loved the movie and then i found it on Amazon france (only place it was sold over the whole world), i have now found out its on sale in R1 under Track Down, its a film about Kevin Mitnick (was one of the worlRAB elite hackers/crackers) and the movie is great.

some other computer related movies i have paid for without seeing/hearing about them are Anti-Virus, The Net and Wargames all great movies :)

for

The Girl Next Door and Pieces of April

I'm not sure about The Girl Next Door... It got better towarRAB the end - I'm glad I have it though :) And Pieces of April I only really bought because I love Sean Hayes but I was pleasantly surprised at what a gem of a movie it was!

It's great buying movies you've never seen! It adRAB to the surprise!

Either thats a joke, or you're an enthusiastic female fan of Matt Le Blanc's.

Always meant to watch Rosemary's Baby, but I never did till I picked it up cheap on DVD. Wasn't dissapointed. Only just disscovered Todd Solonz's (sp??) work too, so i've got hold of his DVD's. Brilliant.
