I regret getting

40 Days and 40 Nights- I almost begged my mother to get it cause everone loved it i saw it and i was like "why does everyone like this"

I thought of another: I own The Ring, and I have only watched it a handful of times because I cannot stand the film! Everything about it just irritates me. I think I bought it on a whim a while ago and didn't really think it over, lol.

Another movie I regret on seeing on DVD was The Good Shepherd.

It was one of the most boring movies I've ever seen.

Rendition - I bought this movie without having seen it first. And honestly, I bought it because I like Jake Gyllenhaal and adore Reese Witherspoon. The plot sounded interesting, but the actual plotline as shown in the movie sadly was not. The movie just dragged along too much. I watched it once when I bought it and haven't even touched it since. :look:

Reign of Fire - Another spontaneous purchase during my Christian Bale binge, despite the fact that I never saw it. Wasn't necessarily a bad movie (though it's hardly amazing), but it's just not one of the movies I'd want to rewatch. :look:

I regret buying 'Gone in 60 Seconds' with Nicolas Cage and Angelina Jolie. I haven't watched it since I bought it and it wasn't as good a movie as I thought.

I ended up buying The greatest American hero season one on dvd cause I use to love that show when I was a kid but god, its so cheesy now and was so not worth 55 dollars

I brought Spy Kids when it first came out on DVD, and now I never watch it. I keep wondering what i ever saw in the movie.

Knockaround Guys ~ The preiviews showed every part of the movie that was worth watching. That says something, doesn't it?

Normally I don't buy movies without having seen them first and knowing for sure that I love them enough and will watch them over and over. I usually just rent movies and if I like them enough I'll buy them.

But the ones I regret buying are ones that are old and I don't ever watch. If I'm bored and go to my DVD collection for a movie, I never pick xXx or Blue Crush. I loved both these movies in theaters and I still do, but I just can't sit home and waste hours of my time watching them over and over again.

I rarely buy any films that I haven't seen before but once I decided to, and well, regretted it.

- Crime and Punishment in Suburbia - Just hated it, I was so bored watching this.
- Election - An ok film, but I know I'll never watch it again. Waste of money.
- Romeo Must Die - While I actually enjoyed this film, its not a film that I would watch again and again. And I haven't watched it since.

If I had the chance I would trade all of these for LOTR Return Of The King, Lawn Dogs or Thirteen. Don't mind which.

Well I hated it. But, I wouldn't rule it out my taste is so specific. It has a lot of action, he might like it.

xXx - I saw it at the cinema and really liked it but I bought it and watched it at home and I didnt like it at all but I think I only wasted about £5 on it anyway.

Yeah, I also hate when companies double- dip on DVDs with several "extended" editions.

Some of the DVDs I do regret buying: The Forgotten (eh, the first half was okay, then it went on a different tangent in the second half. On the bright side, I did get Memento for half-off). Then there's Not Another Teen Movie and Van Wilder. There just wasn't enough of funny in either movie. There are also at least 10 DVDs I've purchased that I haven't seen yet.

So true! I never buy anything unless I really, really love it. It has to be something I'll watch over and over again to make it worth the money.

i bought the movie Sign a few years ago, Mel Gibson is in it which is basically why i got it, i'm a big fan of his. Sign has to be one of the most boring movies i've ever seen. half of the time i didn't know what the heck was going on or what was supposed to be going on.
