DVDs you bought that you now regret buying. (No Lists)

Anything from Disney! Don't get me wrong I love most Disney films but their DVDs are always defective. They either have those 'stick'n'jump' things where the film freezes (and its not the halfway-through-the-film-freeze where the film naturally jumps onto another 'groove') for abit then jumps forward a minute or two (My Nemo and The Lion King) or the disc is so damaged and dirty, first time you play it, that you cant go on. On the extra disc of Pirates of the Caribean I can see the first two minutes and that's it. I'm sick and tired of taking the things back!

Pearl Harbor. It's an okay movie, but I don't watch it a lot and it comes on the Action channel frequently, so I could have always taped it. Not worth the price I paid for it when it first came out.

Serendipity- cute movie, but not one that I'll watch more than once. I bought it actually to make my mom happy- she wanted a romantic comedy.

Chocolat- I bought it because I love Johnny Depp, but I haven't watched it really. I'm sure there's others I would rather have instead.

I'm sure there's more. Those were the ones that I could think of. My dad actually has a lot more impulsive buys than I do, which is actually pretty funny. But some of them that he gets *shakes head.*.

Can I regret movies that other people gave to me? I did have a chance to take it back...

Bring it On

I loved it in the beginning...but now I've seen it so many times that I never need to see it again, and by the time I was given the DVD I was already sick of it.

My husband showed me this place. They used to only take video games and cds but started doing DVD's about a year ago.

They only buy them if they think they can sell them though...so out of about 40 DVD's that we brought over they took about 4 because they already had some of the others waiting to be sold. They told us to keep coming back and they'd buy them from us eventually. So I'm hoping I'll get more money soon!

It's funny that it feels like making money---when really I spent 15 bucks on the DVD and I only received like 3 dollars back per DVD, but hey I'll let them play their mind games on me :)

Apocalypse Now and then Apocalypse Now Redux because they both eventually came out in one package called "Apocalypse Now: The Complete Dossier" with extras so of course I had to get that. I've spent way too much money on that one movie even though it is my favorite. I think I've purchased Army Of Darkness three times as well for basically the same reasons.

War of the Worlds - saw in theatres, thought it was great. watched it at home and suddenly it wasn't as good.

I regret How to Deal. It's an alright movie, but I honestly never watch it, so whenever I look at it I kick myself for having bought it.

Okay so for my 17th birthday I asked my parents for Pride and Prejudice the 2005 version. I have seen Every. Single. P&P adaption there is (the 1940's version, the 6 hour BBC version and the 2005 version.)

Instead...they got me Bride & Prejudice which I had never opened and never heard of before. I opened it later that year and I disliked it. I thought it might be good since Bollywood movies are usually cute but this one was...eh.

Bride & Prejudice is about Mrs. Bakshi is eager to find suitable husbands for her four unmarried daughters. When the rich single gentlemen Balraj and Darcy come to visit, the Bakshis have high hopes, though circumstance and boorish opinions threaten to get in the way of romance. It has Alexis Bledel in the movie (the girl from Gilmore Girls).

I feel as though I cannot return it because it was a gift :sigh:

Freddie Got Fingered... I know.... I know :look: But I figured that it couldn't be that bad!

Not Another Teen Movie I remember not liking it when I saw it a couple of years ago but my friends quote it all the time! So I bought it, watched it and hated it yet again.

Radio - It's a great movie and all, but it's a bit too sad for me to watch it repeatedly. Plus, I got another copy from a friend for Christmas. So now both copies are collecting dust in the corner of my room.

Yeah, that's always a pain in the butt. I just got the The Fast & the Furious franchise collection today [which includes the DVDs for the 'tricked-out' edition of the first movie and 2 Fast 2 Furious along with a bonus disc of 'never-before-seen footage!']. Normally, I get pissed over this crap that movie companies pull off and wouldn't even bother considering buying the rereleased DVD. But since I lost my TF&TF DVD that I got back in 2002 anyway, it doesn't hurt. :D

I'm an huge dvd collector, so i do not regret to having buy something, but anyway i bought this movie called "Groove" i thought it have a plot or a storyline or sometime but haven't nothing, it was a movie about rave and ravers, but i completely dislike this movie.
