Im in AFJROTC and I have gone to 2 Summer Leader Schools. They were for 6 days but they were at universities. Both times we asigned to the dorms on the a campus. You'll probably sleep in the barracks or some type of dorms. SLS is fun but in the starting you will be pretty stressed. Have fun this summer.
I remember the cadets coming to watch live fire exercise in 1976 in Benning...or at least some mud hole in the area....we crawled under wires and were filthy and these kids watched.....that night we walked the 35 miles home in full gear...I remember my feet hurt
the reason this sticks out in my memory is that these were actually kids...we were mostly about 20, but we were pretty tough about that time...and these kids stuck out like sore thumbs
Well, when I went to summer camp at Camp Blue Heron in Riceboro, GA, we slept in tents on cots. Girls were in 10 person tents, and boys were in 2 person tents. But I don't know what it's like at Ft. Benning.
