Durable GSM phones

Alright, yeah, it's nuther one of those "what phones should I buy" threads. Any help would be appreciated! Here's the deal:

I want to migrate from Nextel onto a GSM network. (leaning towards Cingular). I'm moving from a Nextel i530, which has taken a BEATING with nary a scratch. I need a phone that can survive minor falls, scrapes, and scuffs while continuing to work.

My criteria for phones are as follows:

Durable
Flip phone preferred
Excellent reception and voice quality
Bluetooth a plus but not a must

I don't need a camera or MP3 player or other frills. I want a beast of a phone that won't crack when it slips outta my hands. What says the forum?

How's the voice quality on your V635? I'm currently using a Nokia 6102i and am pretty unhappy with the amount of background hiss and random pops during conversations. Voices sound alright, there's just too much extra noise.

Isn't the background noise and "hiss" pretty much a normal thing for most phones w/CDMA radios? At least that's what I have read that from several posts and reviews here...

The Nokia phone I have on the Cingular network is a GSM phone... I don't know about voice quality of other CDMA phones, but my old Nextel i530 had far superior voice quality than what I have now.
