Hello. I'm recovering from surgery for a peptic/duodenal ulcer I had a couple of weeks ago. If there's anyone out there who has lost their appetite, smokes and drinks heavily, has stomach pains regularly, especially when stomach is empty go to your doctor now!! I had these symptoms for months and thought nothing of them until I vomited so much blood I was taken to hospital and had life saving surgery! Anyone else had the same problem? I would love to hear from you. Thanks. Al.
 
I have severe pain below my sternum and where my duodenum would be. The doctors have confirmed it's not my gall bladder. They are doing an endoscopy next Tuesday to find out if there's an ulcer.
