DUN Nokia 6275i

I am interested in getting Cricket voice service but am confused about the data service options.

I understand there is unlimited Internet and Bluetooth has a DUN profile.

I would like to replace a home phone line and dial-up Internet service with Cricket using the DUN profile included in Bluetooth. I was wondering of there is a good tutorial on how to do it.

-Need a tutorial
-Can the Nokia 6275i do this task? (and what other phones)
-How does the San Diego data plan speed compare with dial-up 56K?

Thanks,
Duane

the DUN is disabled in the firmware on all cricket branded phones. additionally the 6275i operates only at 1X and ideally you would want an EVDO capable phone at a minimum. by the end of the month cricket should be launching broadband internet in all markets with a usb data card. this would be the preferred option. if you insist on going through the phone something like a razr (v3c or v3m) would be better. if you would like a pda type phone many people would recommend the 6700, 6800, etc... but you will have to use another companies phone or firmware to enable dun.

I did a quick search and found a PCMCIA card. I guess I'll wait for the USB data stuff later rather than play with the phone...

You mention EVDO will be in all markets by the end of the month. Does that include San Diego? I thought all markets were already EVDO.

Leap Wireless states in its 10K for 2007, "During 2007, we completed the upgrade to EvDO technology in all existing and new markets", p.7
