Dumbest thing you done

after you first acquired your PC ,at least now it seems dumb. I will start it off.

I had my computer for about a couple of days when I was required to enter a password. I attempted to do so but only saw astericks for my effort. I had to call support and have them tell my what was going on. :D

I wanted to format the C drive once, but forgot how to do it properly, so after getting frustrated i decided to delete random files in the C:\WINDOWS folder. when the computer restarted it just showed an error message about files missing, It took me over a week to get help and the files i needed to repair it.

another time Windows wouldn't get past the loading screen, i kept restarting it over and over, then i googled the message and found out it was caused by the mouse/keyboard not connected properly.

This was a few months ago. I entered the dreaded "rm -rf" command in ubuntu by mistake while logged in as root and watched in horror while all my personal and system files were being deleted in front of me one by one and there was nothing I can do to stop it. One of the most helpless feelings ever.

alias rm='~/bin/trashit' :01:

I pissed in me floppy drive once - after being told by a trusted member that it would fix me machine...it didn't!

Back when I was still using Windows 95, I was going to reformat due to virus issues and tried backing up my PC on 3.5" floppies.

Got through about 30 of them before giving up.

:blushing:
