Dumbed Down

It's a difficult process in adapting to a more literate form of internet communique. For years I have tried hard to adopt the excepted form of chatting, which is a cross between text messaging and gypsy retard sign language. For this I did myself and my people a great disservice. Sorry.

I just want to thank the people of this site for restoring some integrity to the web. Though my spelling skills rival those of an 8th grader, I am not the idiot my earlier posts may have implied. I'm an idiot, yes, but so are you.

Here we find ourselves a community of people who have at one time or another felt uncomfortable because we had to explain or define a word we thought was common to all. We have been singled out and attacked because of our educational backgrounds, our eloquence, or our desire to be as concise as possible.

Thanks for this opportunity to be an idiot based on merrit, an ass hole based on merit, a bastard based on birth, and a philosopher based on... oh fuck it.

I don't understand it, but it was eloquent. Might I say, almost pleasant to read.

I think he's happy he found people who use forums on the internet that can type in English...

Hey! Someone who can actually speak english! Awesome! I've been appalled at the lack of reading comprehension a majority of the members here seem to have. This problem oftentimes makes it quite difficult to get a point across, as semi-illiterate people completely misread text which is written in a straightforward manner, and lash out at the writer for something they did not say.

English has been dumbed down for the average person over the last few years.

I try not judge a person by his vocabulary or spelling, but by the sincerety in his message.

I must have entered an advanced stage of Hippiedom in my old age. I'm getting Zenile.
