dude at cingular told me iphones are crap

I have only had mine for a day, but it's exactly what I need. Alot of fun . Everyone at work likes playing with it, which is cool except I'm waiting to hear "OOOOPS" and see it smashing off of the concrete.

best phone i've had - it is certainly missing some key features, but it beats my treo 650 and 755 hands down as well as my friends sidekick and dash

waiting on copy and paste

He doesn't need to, he is looking at an iPhone, there are better phones with similar features for less money...

You already have a baseline idea of his needs by the phone he said he is looking into.

Logic.

how are you guys doing with typing on the iphone, i played with one before and i couldnt type for shit with it i kept hitting the wrong fuckin keys

i'm about as fast as i was on my treo, but that is with apple's dictionary/learning feature - i was this fast on my treo with full accuracy

overall i prefer actual keys and i find myself wanting to type shorter responses (if i'm responding to OT) or shorter emails/texts...was definitely faster on the treo

so far of everyone i know that has an iphone, the majority really like the keyboard (although they go through liking it and not liking it phases) but everyone who doesn't like the keyboard as much as their previous phone came from a smart phone with a full qwerty keyboard while everyone who loves it had a flip phone or something similar

it's not bad, it just isn't as enjoyable to type on as the treo...but the lack of a physical keyboard has plenty of advantages as well, and overall they far outweigh the disadvantages to the phone
