ive heard recently that Ducati "cheats" in the racing world by racing their 848 with the 600cc class and their 1098 with the 1000cc does anyone want to explain this. and why is a v twin better than an inline motor

The WSB Ducatis are the new 1198cc.

They are not " cheats " mate. You cant cheat in these type of championships. The rules for engine CC are different for the number of pistons.

In the case of WSB a 1200cc twin can race with 1000cc 4 cyd bikes.

As for been better, thats a tough one. Last year the 108 F08 won the title, but that due to the master of Troy Bayliss. He could have won the title on a push bike.

This year, it would seem Ben Spies on the new Yamaha R1 is title favorite by a mile. Its not just that he is the best rider on a superbike in the world now, but the new R1 seems to the best, even though its 200cc less then the Ducati.

Hope this helps.

Also, try :

for racing questions. This is more for street bike questions.
