Is this the full neoprene or the covered one?
I still don't know how any of you could buy a $200 seat. My O'Neill wetsuit didn't even cost that much and that thing is a full wetsuit!

Sorry, didn't mean to bash. My bad. I heard that DP is canceling the full neoprene seat and going with the covered one.

I first noticed this seat at Pro Italia and thought "wow, what a nice looking seat, I wonder how it feels". A friend of mine let me ride his 1198 with it and I loved the feel of the seat (I was in full leathers). Later I tried it again with jeans on and I hated it (too much grip).
I ride a lot. Often if I am in the canyons I'm in full leathers. Otherwise, when doing local riding to deal with LA traffic, I'll be in denim (with race boots, gloves, and jacket).
My guess is you've been wearing jeans... this seat is designed for more grip with leather suits and leather pants, not denim. The denim seemed to stick like glue to the suede-like material, so I could see how it might wear. If I bought the seat, I would switch it only when in leathers. Just my .02
