Ducati Performance Racing Seat- Covering Worn away!

This is the state of my 6-month old DP Racing Seat. The covering is starting to wear away and I expected a bit better for $200.
I bought it from the reliable Commonwealth Motors.



Anyone else here have this problem?

My sales guy is having that problem on his. Except he is having problems on the front corner edge of the seat that is against the tank on both sides. With your experience with the seat, I may not buy the seat afterall.

I had over 3K miles on mine, looked as good as new, also bought it from Commoto.

Not for nothing Rustic, but I suspect the crazy humidity at your location is most likely the culprit.

Wanted the neopreme seat, Ducati sent the covered version. Told the dealer to send it back. I'm looking for the neopreme seat not the factory seat with a different cover!

Yeah, I've got some wear there as well but nothing like what's on the main area of the seat.

yeah, possibly...but at 200 bucks I though it would've lasted a little longer.

Not laughing at your issue. Did you show them this picture, it might be a defective cover covered under some kind of return policy or warrenty.

Send it back or ware different pants.

Thats strange......it almost looks like the seats been dyed black and its waring off.

Actually it's the seat covering that's losing it's top 'layer'. It hasn't worn through to the actual seat yet. I sent a few images to Commoto but haven't received a reply as yet.
