this is my one major complaint about that site: Vertical Scope. I was active on a forum called R6messagenet that Vertical scope bought out. It had been a member owned site, tight knit group despite being a huge and very active forum (one of the most active forums I've been on, much more than ducati.ms). Once members saw it had been bought out people started asking questions about what would change and asking about the company. The VS admin started deleting threads, posts, anything that in any way questioned VS. Literally within a day hundreds if not over a thousand members were gone and the place was a ghost town. Dozens of members got banned just for not jumping on the bandwagon, hundreds after that for posting links to other R6 sites to go to and the whole thing turned into a huge clusterf*%^. The members that broke off tried to start new forums, I think they're on website #3 now and nothing has really stuck. An entire community that was more like a HUGE family completely destroyed because VS and their heavy handed admin work. Admittedly some of the key members could have probably handled it better but everyone felt betrayed by the former owners that they didn't tell anyone or give other members a chance to buy the forum (it had been passed along forum members for years before that)

I go there now just to see if R6MN even still exists and the mods haven't logged in since September. "The Water Cooler" that was the most popular section, usually having dozens of new threads every day and hundreds of posts now has only a few posts in the last 3 months. It still pisses me off. I really liked that site, the people were awesome, the content was better than any other site. I never even owned a Yamaha while I was posting there, I was a freakin Honda owner and I had a blast on that site. A couple of the members there helped me with my Woody Racing logos.

,,,Yes Sir i am.I joined here yesterday w/ good reasons,I am a DUCATISTI Owner and proud of it.I don't stay in one place to get knowledge about Ducati cause i believe having a smorgasboard on Sport-touring and conversations makes it fun and enjoyable owning a Ducati. This Spot looks cool

I joined.....waited like a week for my confirmation e-mail to log on and browse and when it didn't happen, I did another google search for Ducati forums and found Spot and they sent me my confirmation e-mail like 2 seconds after I registered so all was saved.

Wow... Jules.... "fuck off goodbye..." someone took it a bit personal huh.... I belonged to that forum 1st, then found this one.... I only go there for the classifieds.... but i don't think i can post yet... just have to PM for everything...

Just looked... been a member for over a year and only have 8 posts.... we have something in common Jules lol

Dang fellas, I did not mean to open a can of worms. The more I experience both, this site does seems to be bottom line more friendly. I am a little bit of a Ducati newb, but not to bikes or forums. Just seem to get more informative and positive responses to questions as a newb. Which is what forums in my opinion are for. Then you can feel more comfortable contributing in a positive manner.

'grew' up there Joined about 2000 or 3 versions ago. Was always the best place, still super imformative when you use the search function.. Just as many dicks in both places. this place is a lot more like a sunday BBQ with friends though. Chipmonk Bob does a pretty good job.
