Ducati happy with Hayden

Inappropriate and illegal? Thats funny.

If you've watched MotoGP for more than a day you'd know that this isn't the first time something like Rossi's pass at LS has happened, see Spain '05 vs. Gibernau.

And nobody was bitching then.

Stoner is good, when he's out front. He doesn't know how to fight like Rossi. And when a fight came to him he dropped his bike and then cried about it.

Rossi tried to pass, ran it wide and still stayed on his ride. When Stoner ran wide, he lost it. Who's better?

The race at LS was outstanding. Great racing, great to watch and it showed who has skill.

As far as "Cowboy Antics" having no place in MotoGP, I don't race in MotoGP, nor do you. We don't get to judge, just watch. There are people who get paid to judge that stuff and they obviously didn't see a problem with it.

To me, That was the best MotoGP race I've seen. Racing is racing and Stoner was tought a lesson that day. He must have because he did the same move during the next race. I wish there were more reaces like this and I am hopefull for next year.

I agree with mrinflux saying that it's inappropriate because it really isn't true "racing", but on the other hand, you're also right Hooker, because sometimes you just have to take chances and do what you need to do to win.

Rossi really is the best in the world and he knows how to win - and when it comes down to it, that's all that matters.
Look at Schumacher, he took so many wild chances in his career - sometimes it paid off and sometimes it didn't, but he's a legend now.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying "our leader" Casey Stoner is shit by any stretch! He's an amazing rider and will be for many years.

i loved the aggression that Rossi showed at Laguna... reminded me of the good 'ol days with Rainey and Schwantz..

to me, Stoner and Pedrosa remind me more of Biaggi or Cadalora of old... when everything is set up just right.. they are VERY fast... they ride with a 250 GP style.. and that's why they started to shine when the 800's were introduced.. engineers have said that riding 250's and the 800's are a similar style...

the problem is that they don't seem to be able to ride around problems as well as Rossi..

and as far as Hayden?.. i think he'll do better on the Duc.. seems to be more like the honda 990.. i still think Ducati will have to change the bike.. and they (like honda) don't like changing the bike.. which i think affected Melandri as well. Gibernau?... brides maid..

i look forward to some aggressive racing... and i hope that Kawi can come out and play with the others... the more the merrier...

The 800's definately hurt Hayden as did the introduction of Trac Control. If Ducati can dial it down and let the Kid ride it... he stands a good chance of improving. Stoner/Pedrossa coming from 250's... like high corner speeds.. the smooth line... Toss in some traffic ahead that causes you to break and suddenly they dont like it anymore... not as smooth... not as fast. Riders who can steer with the rear seem to be able to find more than 1 or 2 decent lines through a turn and still make them work.

As said above.... if you have the right setup that weekend... tires working, etc... ANYONE in the front 5 can ride away if out ahead... ALONE! Now throw in another rider who might be ON that weekend and watch what happens.

GP hasn't been fun to watch the last two seasons... maybe a race or 2 a season. WSBK however... FUN!

Let me guess.... you started watching GP in 2008? And didn't catch much of 09?!

some good points... especially about some riders not being able to find alternative lines at speed...

if anything..i think Rossi put a big spot light on this at Laguna... i think Rossi will own Stoner from now on.. if the M-1 is anywhere near the Duc... Rossi will be able to take Stoner out of his game... as long as Stoner is out front... he's good.. i really look forward to the up-coming season..

and a can't wait to see Hayden and Pedrosa dicing it up.... feels good to know that some rivalries are building like the old days.... let's see how those tires do ...

still think it would be better with the 990's back.... damn electronic age... i miss Doohan and his 140 mile an hour powerslides...

ACTUALLY....

there is a fuel management system on the bike that when the bike starts getting low on fuel it cuts back on the fuel it gives the engine to allow it to finish the race. when Hayden lost the race last season when his bike ran out of fuel he stated this and later stated that after review the bike something was faulty with this system and it didnt manage his fuel properly.

This is very good move for Hayden and Ducati. I believe there will be fun 09 season between Ducati and Yammy.

Sit Tight and buckle UP guys.

just curious......not sure if i have this correct

but was this one of the races that nicky was testing the pneumatic valve bike......if so im wondering if this played a part in his runnin out of fuel...test bike..data not reliable?
is a while ago...may have this mixed up..anyone?
