Ducati and misogyny

I saw a post at the "other" Ducati forum that made some attributions to the Monster owned by several gay men. The subject is volatile but it has come to light, as it were. One of the reason alleged is that some folks find more beauty and character in their bikes compared to their other halves. If this were true, it would have the net effect as intended, namely, putting down the women, in particular. I find this subject worthy of a candid analysis, what do you think? Naturally, Ducati ought to be flattered to pieces.
 
Seriously though,

For many people, motorcycles have manifested into something more personal. There is a gamut of reasons that people love them.

IMO, If someone seriously finds their bike more attractive or more compatible for them than the opposite sex, I might say that person needs to re-evaluate what they are looking for in a mate.

I love motorcycles! They opened up a whole new world for me. But in the grand scheme of things, I know that they are simply an extremely exciting form of transportation, with many applications.

Just like sports, video games or whatever else people indulge in to "get away;" when you like or love something enough, it can become an alternate "life style."

Ultimately, it's nice to be able to escape for a short time, but when it starts to overshadow your REAL life and priorities, that becomes a problem.

shits me a bit...that people are judged by their machines...

all of us have different needs..tastes, requirements..eg, short peeps, peeps that like the nakid monster look (the s4rs is no slacker either), commuter bike, learner bike
budget too ...is often a deciding factor in model purchased
not everyone can afford the biggest and the best..

never thought i'd buy a 4 valver, but fell in love with the 848 when i saw it..

if i could go backwards id have kept the black 2 valve sportclassic 1000 as well
loved it soooo much! the 848 suits my needs, dont need any more power >realistically..
have lusted for more, but thats just silly for my usage..and price point was good..

wish ducati people would just love other ducati people..and not judge em..
