I have found a 2004 Ducati 749 for sale for the same price as a 2006 Yamaha R6 I am looking at. I know japanese bikes are virtually bulletproof and will rev to the moon forever but I know little about a Ducati. In you opinion which would be the better bike? I have been doing some research and I found that sometimes the Ducati will be "moody" and will stall if not fully warmed up, or they're unreliable. I just want to dispell some of the rumors that are false and get facts. I know that the r6 has 130 hp and the ducati has 103 give or take a few on both. Also the ducati is heavier. Which is faster around a track and in a straight line? Plus I know that parts and maintenance are more expensive on the duc. Keep in mind I am a poor 16 year old getting my second bike lol. I previously had a ninja 636 but sold it. The ninja was a blast to ride but I haven't ridden a v twin so i don't know how that will fair out. Which bike would be the best??
