Ducati 4 cylinder

They did indeed - another V4 (the Apollo) tried to crack the US cop bike market through the Berliner group but it never got up. They made one complete bike and a spare engine. Both ended up in museums somewhere.

I cannot stand the sound of an I-4 it sounds like a pack of bumble bees. It's the same reason I hate the Japanese cars with the fart cans on them. I'll stick with the sound of the Duc.

Even the D16RR sounds a bit weired with the race pipes on i think... with the stock pipes it sounds like a stock Multistrada...

it does, one of the guys from Sydney had one with stock pipes at the Italian Day a while ago, started it up and was revving it...my Multi sounded sounded the same when it was stock...

I think they should make a cheaper version of the D-16.
Regular plastics, wheels, suspension, brakes. Not to mention all the development potential in the engine. Plus it would be a legit 1000.
Of course they could never get rid of the V-twin it would just be nice to have some more options.

I don't think I would buy a inline 4 from Ducati...

V4 maybe....

The low rumble and crazy torque of the Duc is what appeals to me... I'll keep my 600RR on the side for the times I want to get out and run 15k RPM's...
