Ive been told that my black stock exhaust is made by Termignoni, is this true??? i know they also sell the aftermarket ones with a bigger pipe.

It may be manufacture by Termi, but I'm not sure. What I do know is that it is the same stainless steel exhaust system that is on the 848 and 1098, just with black walls to the cans. I don't believe the flow, cat, or anything is different about them. I just bought a 1098s stock system for my 848. should be in my hands tomorrow and I will be able to tell you with 100% confidence then if there are any differences.

I've heard that all newer Ducati exhaust are contracted to Termi, but i don't know how true that is.

got my 1098s stock exhaust today. Looked at the internals with a flashlight and all the markings on the cans. Nothing on it suggests that it was made by Termi and it appears to be identical to my stock 848 cans except for the color.

Please let me know once you install them and do the test ride. I'm trying to figure out if the ECU needs to be changed

sgani-got the black 1098S cans on my 848, runs like a champ, no ECU fiddling needed.

The cans are the same between 848, 1098 and 1098S. I have the Termis and they appear to be carbon versions of the stock cans, so my bet is they are made by Termi. The stock cans on the 1098R are made by Akrapovic and the race system is Termi.

The stock cans are made my termi for the 848/ 1098/1098s

Leo Vince makes alot of stock cans for Jap bikes.

The 1098r cans from Akra are also titanium and a bit lighter than the stock ones that we have.

I almost picked up a pair of those on e-bay a while back.
