ducati 1098 or hayabusa?

i like the hayabusa but u need chrome i know it sounds weird but its a must if not its still fast tough but not as goodlooking as it could be
 
Jack, Ducati is probably THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE BIKE ever made. SImply go sit on one and youll see exactly what I mean. The Hayabusa is actually pretty comfortable for a sport bike, because of the gel seat, and actually surpasses many other sport bikes in comfort too. As far as performance, the Ducati was designed for racing and th Busa for a track.

Let me put it htis way, if I was going to buy ANY type of sportbike the Ducati would be last. Why? Comfort - the Ducati suxx. Performance - most people arent going to race the Ducati on a track which makes the Busa better because it is more comfortable and practical. The Ducati would ONLY win in a turns war. Sound? Who cares for a sport bike. Change the pipes to something of your liking. Awesomeness? There is something to be said about being on the fastest production motorcycle ever made. Maintenance? Ducati is known to have a higher breakdown rate because its hand made. Lastly, which you never asked, think about the price. Hayabusa is MUCH cheaper than a Ducati.

I have had this conversation MANY times about Ducati. If you are sponsored by Ducati it is an awesome motorcycle. However, most people are not which means it is a waste of time. If you simply go sit on each bike you will know exactly what I mean about comfort. Considering how huge Ducati is in the racing world, you would thik they would spend $.02 on a better seat.

Anyone who tells you anything different than what Im saying is either ignorant or bought a Ducati because they thought it was the best.

All i know dude is my dad's ducati seat makes me feel like i was raped painfully after about one hour, and he doesnt have a gentlemens handlebar setup so my wrists ache out of control..but thats just me

Hayabusa is still an AMAZING bike but my vote is definitely on the Ducati
 
Don't know about the maintainance on the ducati, but the busa is fairly easy, now here is the truth, in the straights the busa will take any bike off the floor hands down, but they are very large and heavy for a sports bike, the ducati is better for corners. But if you are looking for a daily driver and aren't track racing hayabusa is more comfortable, probably cheaper to repair if needed and will give you rediculouse amounts of power, more than most 4cylinder cars.
 
A hard question . I get the impression that the Duke is just too much for the road suspension and comfort wise . Roads ain't as smooth as the track . I'd be leaning towards the Suzuki on the basis that it's a bike you can live with . You can scratch it with the best and tour as well . Sure , it won't handle like the duke , but I can say I've rarely met a Duke rider that can fully exploit their amazing handling qualities , even when the road is billiard smooth .Unless you intend to chuck in some track days , the Busa would be my choice . My head says that , but my heart says different . Try the KTM RC8R . A duke with real world comfort
