Whether it's to censor something intense or make the show more intuned to the countries culture, edits are usually received with frustration and scorn.
But every now and then, there are moments which can and are unintentionally hilarious. You know you should be disappointed, but you can't help by find it amusing.
For myself:
1. DBZ/DBGT: Since the villains are occasionally shown in their afterlife, they naturally show Hell in the show. Since the place is unallowed in a children's show, we get Home For Infinite Losers (HFIL). Whether it's to tone down things to be child friend, amusingly enough it does fit the humorous aspects of the Dragonball world more than Hell.
2. Digimon Savers/Data Squad: Episode 7 has an amusement park attacked by a Nanimon (Borab type Digimon). For whatever reasons, it was decided that a Borab based Digimon was unacceptable. So rather than just skipping the episode, we get a Digimon chocked full of Vitamin C, or simply Citramon. I can't even explain why I like it. It's just funny.
