I have my bike that i got used, i have it in running order,
But now im wondering about the battery that is in it, i think it may be dead, im not sure if it has an electric start, i just use the kick starter. but the lights dim when im idling, as well as the turn indicators do not work unless its at high rpms, so i am thinking that it is possibly the battery is not holding a charge,
im guessing the battery would be for an electric start as well as powering the turn indicators and headlight / tail light when the engines at low rpms?
let me know what you know, trying to learn a bit about how the electrical systems work on these things, and trying to see if its the battery
also its a 1989 Yamaha dt-50 if that helps
