I have recently started to use a system of dual monitors with my laptop, the external one is older and is a different screen size. Whenever I try to play a game on my much wider HD laptop screen, it atomatically reverts to the screen size of my external monitor, even when un plugged, it is not so much of a problem for some more modern games like COD4 which I can change the resolution size of which in- game (although it still wont go back to the origional size), but for older ones like age of empires 2, the option to adjust resolution will not work (I dont know if that is related or is just my game) and I am forced to play with a much smaller screen size.
