*DS Ratings Predictions Game: Season 11*

That would be me who predicted 5.0m,and all because I spotted someone mentioned this figure in the ratings thread recently.I'll blame that person if I get no points from it. lol
 
Probably more wishful thinking:D..but it's definitely possible. Only a year ago some episodes were managing 5m+, so surely those viewers will return for the last ever episode and any other viewers who have watched over the last 27 years. I would be extremely dissappointed if it averaged less than 4.5m, considering the history it has.

There's also incredibly weak competition. Around 3m from BBC1, 1m from BBC2, 1.5-2m from CH4 and 2m from FIVE leaves The Bill with free roam of the 9pm slot.

It's being heavily advertised aswell. Seems to be a writeup in most magazines and even ITV are advertising it, albeit a very poor effort.
 
Well, this is abit of a tense climax. I'm fairly sure i've messed up on some of those last shows in the schedule. I didn't even know what that Albert's Memorial was until i saw an advert for it the other day. Also Heartbeat's last ever episode too which i didn't realise. Need to do more research in future!

I think Albert's Memorial will be shown on Sunday 12th September as the DVD is released the day after so it would be a good one to predict.
 
Overall: Season 11 leaderboard by average

- This leaderboard is based on the average score each player has achieved out of all weeks attempted so it doesn't matter if you've missed weeks. However, players who haven't played for three weeks consecutively will be filtered out of this table. They can return though, if they restart playing.

Yeah I think shows like NCIS, Mentalist, CSI, House etc get 12m+.

And the ratings fluctuate a lot due to big competition from 3 other channels. For e.g. I was looking at House's ratings from last season and one week it had 17.2m, the next week 14.4m and then within a couple of weeks dropped to 11.7m.

Even lower rating stuff like Modern Family fluctuated a lot: one week it had 7.2m, then 9.7m, then 10.2m, then back down to 7.8m! We don't see shows over here fluctuate anything like that unless there's special circumstances. The American ratings would be really hard to predict imo and I think there'd be loads of 0s. An interesting suggestion though.
