Hi.

I'm ealry 50's. I refuse to believe that this is normal aging. My parents and siblings are all much older than me and none of them have had any eye problems. I tried a humidifier, but it didn't help. It doesn't matter which season it is..winter or summer.

I also went to a very good allergist (spent a lot of $) and.... no difference. The opthamologist I saw thought it was an allergy to staph. I know that the root cause has something to do with my endocrine system affecting fluid balance or something.. Or, possibly an autoimmune problem, set off by the HC I was taking.

Why don't you list your other symptoms ? Or is the eye problem your only symptom? If so, I can see why you are having a problem finding a solution.

It's fine that you tried the HC. No offense meant, but IMO, a "true" diagnosis isn't getting a doctor to agree with me, esp. if the treatment did not solve my problem. Have you gotten a medical doctor to diagnose you with Addison's? I appreciate the knowlege of wholistic docs, but a while a saliva test shows certain things, it far from shows everything necessary. By law, only medical doctors may use other lab test results, and equally important than a test is the symptoms. Known imbalances have very clear symptoms.

You know, regardless what your siblings experience, every body is different and has different weaknesses. I am 60. I have siblings that seem to never get sick, then one got a melanoma. I on the other hand was born with colic and stress has affected my digestive system my whole life. Perhaps your stress is manifest in your eyes.

Your thyroid results may or may not be normal for you, no body on the internet can diagnose you. It depends on your symptoms. Again, no one but you can say if you have thyroid symptoms, and I haven't seen any listed. If I missed them, please tell me which post. The eye problem alone does not equal low thyroid, nor does the test result alone equal low thyroid. It still would not cause the eye irritation alone.

It took two years of consistent thyroid med trials to determine for sure that my symptoms are indeed hypothyroid combined with menopausal and I definitely had all of the symptoms. Hormones don't work like drugs, with in a short time. Hormones only allow the body to rebalance and heal over time.

Please tell us your symptoms.
