Dry beans- Instructions on cooking, fast vs slow?

There's a slow way and a fast way in the instructions. I would like to try the fast way, (I've never cooked dry beans before.)

Will it taste just as good as the slow way?
 
the slow way is the best way in my opinion!! you have more flavor and the meat comes out so tender and fall of the bone good!!! (I'm referring to ham hocks of course) ps don't forget the cornbread!!!!
