I am looking in to using a midi keyboard to trigger drum samples from ezdrummer, addictive drums, etc. I have heard of people using radioshack piezo buzzers as triggers, and then wiring each trigger to a respective key on the midi keyboard. Is this a plausible and effective way of recording drums without the tedious and pain in the ass methods of mic'ing drums?
