DRUG & ALCOHOL TESTING?

MY BOSSES HAVE INFORMED ME & THE REST OF THE FIRM THAT THEY INTEND ON BRINGING IN AN OUTSIDE AGENCY TO TEST THE WORKFORCE FOR DRUGS & ALCOHOL IN OUR SYSTEMS. CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF THIS IS LEGALLY BINDING FOR US TO HAVE TO UNDER-GO SUCH TESTING, OR IF WE CAN REFUSE THIS??I FOR ONE HAVE NEVER AGREED TO ANY TESTING BE IT MY EMPLOYERS OR ANY OTHER AGENCY THEY MAY WANT TO EMPLOY TO DO IT

right.if you don't test then they are gonna think something.they prolly won't let you go back to work until you do so.i know.i've seen ppl at my workplace lose their jobs for refusal or they just failed the test.

no they have no right to force you.only a police officer can ask that if he has just cause to suspect your under the influence.

They cant pysically make you take a drug test but their is probably something in your contract that says somthing like " wemay trminate your contract if you bring the company into disreputee" and this has been used in the past by companies to sack people who have failed to take drug tests.

They can't legally force you to get tested, although it'll look suspicious if you don't.

But you do have the right to refuse.

its my understanding they can. Most places ive worked for have said they can drug test at any time. Im pretty sure all employers are like this.
