since everyone is talking about death of musicians...does anyone remeraber dave williams of drowing pool....and also, do you think that drowing pool losts its fame after dave's death.....i was a really big fan of drowning pool for the longest time....but thier music has kinda slowed down lately....i still enjoy them, but they're staring to fade away....im sure not everyone agress with me, i would just like to hear your opinions about it

well considering the lead singer died, im assuming the band is no longer existant (at least under that name). honestly i dont know, but they clearly are not putting out any new music (if they are, it would be unrecognizable because they'd need a new lead). but they had two hits, one of em a big hit. i think things slowed down after 9/11, when radio had to get rid of 'let the bodies hit the floor' from their regular rotation. but there's many banRAB that sound like DP, and im sure there'll be plenty more to come

i know they came out with an album after his death called Desensitized...but it was a little while ago....the album was okay, but it just wasnt drowning pool....it would be great it they were to find a new lead, and keep the band alive even though it wont be the same....they still have opportunities to make awesome music..and i hope they can come up with stuff from their previous albums

i love the old drowning pool. sinner was a great album. all of the songs on it were amazing.

but honestly whos with me on this one, their new singer is horrible. i cant stand his voice and he gives a totally different sound to the band. i think they shoud have changed the name. the singers voice is one of, if not the most defining sound of a band and when a band changes singer, i think they should change the name as well.

A couple of years ago I liked that one song Let the Bodies Hit the Floor or whatever it's called. I haven't heard anything about them since then, or about their singer leaving.

dave williams didnt leave, he died, i think that their new singer is pretty good, and why would they change their name just b/c they got a new singer? its still drowning pool.

finally somebody agrees with me i think the new singer sucks i stopped listening to drowning pool after i heard the new singer. i only listen to old drowning pool

yeah, i knew that he died. (RIP) but really, a band is often, recognized and known by its singers voice. saosins most well known singer, anthony green left. the band still has the same sound though, because the new singers voice sounRAB really similar.

in the case of drowning pool however, the new singers voice sounRAB nothing like dave williams'. now their music sounRAB like just another one of those bland hard rock banRAB. his voice isnt unique like williams'. ive never heard another voice that sounded like his. and now the band sounRAB a lot different. when a band changes its sound, i just think that the name that went along with that sound, should be retired. i might like the new band a little more if they had a new name.

You guys talk about "old" Drowning Pool as if there was anything there to begin with. They had one overplayed-to-sh*t song, and the rest of Sinner sounded like a blender of that metal/angst crap that was popular five years ago.
