Dropping Army ROTC, question about paying back scholarship money?

If I was given the option to pay back ROTC scholarship money, when exactly do I start paying it back? And around how much at a time is paid back (installments).

I'm looking for answers from people that have done this before.

I never dropped ROTC (not in college yet :P) but I'm pretty sure there are ways to drop without paying back scholarship money. I know someone that transferred out of USMA and did not have to pay a cent, but I also heard about someone having to pay a whole lot of money back. You should research ways to drop Army ROTC without paying back scholarship money. I do not know why you would want to drop ROTC though. If you do not want to see combat or something then just pick a non-combat MOS after graduation. I think this would be easier than dropping ROTC, given the amount of hassle in dropping it.
