When I run Gnutella v0.56 at work, connected via a T1 connection, I often get 10 or more incoming gnutellaNet connections. Many of these show an increasing Dropped count. The FAQ says it is best to remove these connections, but if I leave it running for a few minutes, more appear. Is there a different client that will automatically remove connections with many dropped messages?
By the way, how does gnutella tell when a connection is dropping messages? Is it based on the send buffer of the TCP connection?
