Droid wont connect to bluetooth in my new head unit?

i have a 1998 honda accord, pretty dope car, got some nice speakers and a nice new head unit was installed today with bluetooth...one problem..MY DROID CANNOT FIND A DEVICE!!! i turn the bluetooth on, on the headunit (i have a sony xplod..not sure which one exactly but i know thats the brand) and then i turn on bluetooth on my phone. search for a device...nothing...turn on discoverable then search...nothing, the instructions for the headunit say what to do and the password is 0000...that would be helpful if my dumb ass droid would find a device. can anyone help me out ?! i turn 17 and get my license in 9 days!!! im not trying to die cause my panic stricken mother calls me at every stop light
