Droid vs Nexus One

I've got an iPhone 2G and I'm thinking about switching to Android. Two ways to go, grab a used droid for around $300, or get a new nexus for about $600 with tax. The nexus is the better phone (faster, newer, and I'd prefer no keyboard) but I'm not sure the benefits are worth an extra $300 over the Droid. What do you think?

I'd go with the Droid. Droid has better battery life, and it's really fast as well. Also, HTC has pretty bad QC, so your phone may have problems down the line. A lot of users are complaining about 3G issues as well, and apparently it's a hardware issue so it can't be fixed via software update.

I'm probably going to get the Milestone soon, when it comes to my carrier.

I'm open to switching (have tmobile now) if I can switch to a no-contract plan. Verizon does this for sure, not sure about sprint or at&t.

verizon's no contract plan will cost you a lot more in the end however, so consider that when you're deciding between $300 bucks.

(unl TTW on tmo is 79.99. unl TTW on verizon is $125)
over 2 years, thats $1080 dollars
