Droid Incredible VS Shadow?

I plan on getting my first droid phone, and I was debating whether or not I should get the Incredible or Shadow. If you were in my shoes, would you wait for Shadow to come out or just go with the Incredible?

Thanks for response!

I'm switching back to Verizon and getting the Incredible. I don't know too much about the moto, i've done alot of reading and about the Incredible though. I've had bad luck with a few moto phones in the past so I don't have any regrets going with the HTC with the Shadow just around the corner.

In my experience, with more than a few Motorola phones, quality has been good and voice/reception quality has always been top-notch. I'm waiting on the Shadow.

I just don't know too much about smartphone, so I figure people that actually knows more about sense vs blur stuff could provide some opinions on it. From perspective of "expert", would you wait til shadow comes out for some obvious reasons? or just get incredible, because its a great phone as it is?

Just get the incredible because it's a great phone.

Sense is excellent but I don't use any of the friendstream friendster features.

Nobody really knows much about the Shadow, most people can't even figure out the difference between Shadow, Droid 2, Nexus Two, etc.

Motorola build quality is top notch and IMO they are the best cell phone manufacturer out there, JE78 is either unlucky or got lemons. Waiting is probably not worth it though. There will always be better phones coming out so if you always waited you would never get anything.

The Incredible is a great phone by HTC, the voice calling quality and hardware is excellent.

Oh man Easy!

Wait for the Shadow!
IMO HTC sucks and that has been proven right here on these forums with the piss poor reception and voice quality. Also HTC's build quality blows compared the the DROID, the Shadow will be the best thing since sliced bread!

Motorola for the WIN!

Everyone has there own opinion on phones. I don't have my Incredible yet but i've used one in store and my friends and the build quality seems fine to me, and the voice quality was 100x better than my iPhone. Also each time I used the phone I had full bars and 3G.

Other than the picture of the Shadow there's not much to know about it hardware wise so I guess the question is do you want a 3.7 inch screen or a 4.1 inch?

Apparently you never tried the Motorola Rival, proof that the Moto name is not a guarantee of superior reception/call quality. That being said, I am also waiting for the Shadow, I agree that Motorola has a good track record with decent RF performance.

I don't know if you guys have been reading the Shadow Pre-release thread but its been noted the phone is now being released at the end of August due to a hardware change...just a heads up if you didn't know.

dudes..comparing a moto rival to a shadow is like comparing a nokia 5110 to a nokia n90. htc made a great phone with the incredible..i love sense...but at the same time i don't agree with sense. Something about that sense UI makes it hard for htc to push updates. look at how long it took the hero and eris to get the 2.1 updates. and as for moto blur 2.1 on the shadow...i don't like that either...same problem. Personally i love the phones with standard google experience like the droid or the n1. but i like playing with my phone and customizing, always keeping up to date...but if you just like the phone for what it is then i say either one is a great choice. i guess it boils down to whether you want that 3.7in oled incredible screen or the 4.3in shadow.
