Droid Eris MMS

I need to know what settings are working for MMS. I have read through many post and I tried the v10 of the cricket flash. I am asking because I had the HTML plan on my phone and now I am on the 45/month plan with my phone set as a cricket phone. But MMS is not working. It did before I got the HTML.

Thanks,

Mainecrab

the mms in the flash works fine for me, it sends anonymously but works a champ, also there is mmsc you can use that is more specific to you.

sends anonymous:
Code:
http://mms.mycricket.com/servlets/mms

sends specific to you:
Code:
http://mms.mycricket.com/servlets/mms?X-Cricket-MDN=xxxxxxxxxx
replace the x's with your telephone number

both have worked fine for me, never had an issue where one works and the other doesn't.

mines set up exactly like the second one you have there, paid a local place to do it for me...no mms for me...kinda feel ripped off that it doesnt work. tryed both od those you posted and no go on mms for me. hoping to find a solution as the wife and i send lots of pics of our kids to family out of town

So if it worked before the HTML was added and now it doesn't still after taking the HTML off the plan. I would first look at account issues not phone or file issues.
What happens is when the plan changed the WAP and MMS did not provision correctly. Try one of the following call cricket have the wap refreshed, or *22804.

i have spent alot of time with the MMS, all you need is mmsc set to crickets mmsc and mmsprotocol set to 2.0, i set MCC and MNC and Numeric correctly in mine, but even with them incorrect it still works fine
Code:

Thats all thats needed, in fact having the proxy info and port settings will only make things worse, MMS functions just fine without WAP setup, you can flash a rom (non sprint based), then restore the apn above and mms works just fine without doing any of the u2nl/autostart sutff.
Directing MMS to the proxy will break it and cause inconsistent deliveries. Some do go through, Some not.

If you are by chance running a sprint based rom i have been seeing incompatibles. Im searching for a solution currently, but so far have not found one. This seems to be plaguing Evo and Hero users with MMS issues due to the sprint roms.

Thanks for the responses. I will go ahead and call Cricket and have them refresh the WAP and MMS. It sort of works sometimes I get a download but it will not download. For the other guy with yours listed with the Evoke MMS does not work on that so you have the HTML plan, have someone switch your phone back so that MMS will work. Hopefully you do not run into the same issue that I have. Thanks for the help Token as well on XDA.

so i got my mms working on the eris last night flashing a zip cricket_eris_web_mms_v10.zip...mms works everytime like a charm now but not i have no wap on anythign no market no browser no anything...kinda lost as to where to start to fix it.

i delve into this on my own because the shop i had flash it basically gave me the ol...crickets having issues at this time excuse and it will get better later. after getting the mms to work properly on my own im pretty convinced he was full of crap, and am now trying to get the wap back up and running. I dont think im capable myself to do these things so i went to a place that i presumed were professionals and now feel like i got robbed for 80 bucks

the only thing i can think of is that the autostart program is not running, if you havent installed it you need to get autostart from the market

you can try to start the .sh file manually by doing

adb shell ./data/opt/autostart.sh

I had the same problem as mainecrab.
I was on html plan and listed as evoke, mms was working fine, until I switched over to $45 plan, then I lost my mms. I had someone change my phone in CID to anything other than evoke and re-add the $45 plan and still didn't have working mms. I noticed that the pic/vid messaging feature wasn't listed in my account, so I clicked on 'Add New Features' then scrolled to the bottom and clicked 'No Thanks, Skip This Step' and checked out until I got a confirmation number. This added the pic/video messaging feature and I had working mms after that. So if anyone is having issues with their mms then you can try what I did and see if it refreshes or adds mms your account without having to call Cricket.

i used the v10 zip to get my mms working , well it messed up everything else.
took the phone back to the place i got it flashed. he reflashed it...everything worked for a few hours, then now mms is sketchy, sometimes it works other times it just dont.

i dont understand the issue, considering i was able to get mms working myself perfectly fine, just i screwed the phone up from getting any internet market or wap.

am i asking a shop to much to just get my phone working properly? i been trying to figure out how to flash a rom to the unit that i know will work, but its been real hard coming across one i know works properly as well as understanding what i need to do.

i do know im rooted because i was able to get into recovery boot menu and was able to flash that cricket v10 file as well. just unsure after that what i need to do to do this on my own since the other guy is a lost cause.
