Droid and Eris NOT MBB Capable

According to Verizon Wireless' online comparison, these devices are not mobile broadband connect (for tethering) capable.

Is this true?

Verizon doesn't have out any software for them to tether yet, but they can with some 3d party software.

With 3rd party software, what fees would you be responsible for? Just the fees associated with the 3rd party app?

Is the pdanet application compatible with the HTC Droid Eris? Or is it just for the motorola droid? What does it mean that the free version blocks secure websites?

PDANet works GREAT with my Eris. The difference in the free version and the paid version is you can access secure sites (https://) with the paid version.
