Droid 2.1 problems/glitches?

Okay so I recently took the plunge and got 2.1 on my Droid.

It's pretty nice with the new ui and animations and there isn't much lag in the system. Although I have had my Droid soft reset 3 or 4 times today while quiting out of some applications such as search and handcent.

One thing I did notice was that when you open up the keyboard the phone automatically unlocks. I thought this was a pretty cool feature until my phone kept opening in my pocket and randomly opening applications and such. (I also tried enabling the lock pattern, sliding the keyboard out bypasses this as well, so I'm guessing it's not a feature but a glitch. A very big glitch at that)

Also, when in landscape mode the phone gets a little messed up. If anyone's used 2.1 yet the buttons on the bottom of the screen to change screens left/right and bring out the screen expose feature, the right one seems to be wrongly put. When hitting any part on the extreme right of the screen will open up the application dock. The application dock also seems very buggy in landscape mode.

I'm guessing this is due to the fact that the Nexus doesn't have a landscape mode for the home screen while the droid does because of the slide out keyboard.

Anyone know how to fix any of these problems? If not, 2.1 is a nice visual improvement but not worth the string of fc's, reboots, and bugs and the not locking screen.

Hrm - with lock pattern enabled, sliding out the keyboard doesn't bypass it for me. But then I'm on 1.6. It would seem a very stupid thing to have done if you can bypass one of the front lines of security on your phone with such ease.

Well, if my G1 is anything to go buy, you only have to open the keyboard about 1/2cm / 1/4" for the phone to think you've opened the keyboard.

My keyboard didn't use to open up but since it's not spring assisted in anyway it does find its way to just open up. And yea even a slight opening is detected as being fully open.

I got my 2.1 from

it seems they have a new rom up so I'm going to try that one. I'll see what my results are.

I'd like to know that answer. I purchased my Driod 2 weeks ago and the updates keep telling me I have the latest (2.0.1)
