Driving Test question- pre trip check.?

I have my drivers test today and I really wanted to take the car I'm most familiar on, but there is a slight crack in the windshield and theres a sign that lights up that sais "Check"- but when we got it checked out we were told that its just a light that burnt out and its like $300 to repare. Do you think that I will still be able to use this car for the test...
also what else do you need to know for the pre trip check?
