driving test coming up... filter arrow?

I just want to make sure I've got this right.

When there is a filter arrow at a set of traffic lights for a right turn, you are allowed to turn right if the filter arrow is on green (when the oncoming traffic will give way to you), OR it is not on but the circular green is (you'd have to give way to oncoming traffic). However you can't turn right if the circular green is replaced by a forward arrow.

I don't know if i've explained that correctly... thanks anyway. Other info would be appreciated

Hi,Ive got my test coming up next week!!
I know exactly what your saying it's confusing isn't it lol
When the light is green and there is no filter arrow you may proceed by turning right when there is a gap in the traffic. When the circle is green you can cross when there is a gap in the traffic, so basically what you are saying is right :)

Good luck with your test.
