OK, my boyfriends mom is currently driving around a car (white 96 grand am), that is not insured and not hers (not stolen though, I Promise), and she ownes a green 2000 chevy s-10, but it is broke and she doesn't want to fix it. She took the plates off of her s-10 and put them on her friends grand am, and is driving around.
I know this is completely illegal, but she wont listen so I need to find proof. So my question is:
1- What would happen if a cop ran her plate and (assuming he would) pull her over? Like what would happen to her, the car, and what would she be charged with?
and 2- is there any website or anything that also shows this information, to show proof?
As you can tell, she is a pretty ignorant person and not the brightest crayon in the box.. So if someone could please help me out, I would appreciate it.
