I bought 2 CV Joints for the front Axles as they were clicking when doing sharp turns.
Try as I might I can't get the Driveshaft out, any ideas? I removed the Hub, ball joint and suspension mounting and have removed the CV Joint from hub and Boot but I can't get the CV joint off the drive shaft, I have tried hammering it to no avail, any ideas?. is it supposed to come off? toyota don't do that part on its own I have to buy the driveshaft complete.?
Someone suggested putting it in a vice and give it a really big whack with a hammer?
My main issue wuth the drive shaft itself is I can't get a wedge in at the gearbox end to knock out the complete driveshaft as a plate is blocking the way.
Any Ideas appreciated.
