i recently tried to do drive axles in a 93 ford tempo automatic. i bought the haynes book and it said, as old ones come out, replace with 15/16" wooden dowels or something inside there will drop. of course, i didn't listen, and now they wont go in all the way. as soon as you put trans fluid in it leaks right back out. i don't know what might have dropped but i'm pretty sure something did. is there a way of fixing my problem without taking out the trans and taking it somewhere?
