My friend just found out she is 4 months pregnant. She didn't know, as she is still getting her period, but the doctor just confirmed it. At first, I was totally excited, because I'm 5 1/2 months pregnant, so our kids will be the same age! But, she told me she drank quite a few times before she knew. She said she drank about probably about 6 or 7 times total, and drinking about 2 or 3 shots of liquor each time (she doesn't drink beer). Her doctor said not to worry, just don't drink ANYTHING alcoholic from now on, and that his mom smoked and drank with him, and he's fine, so just try not to worry. But, we are both really worried.
What do you think the chances are that the baby will have effects from the alcohol??
