Drilling C90 pipes

I have 2006 C90 and looks like I can't de-baffle the stock pipes (I tried).
The same mod that works on C50 doesn't work on C90.
I've already removed the outer "ring" that's at the end of the baffler (that's when I noticed there is another one dipper in it). So, now I am wondering if I can drill that second ring or maybe drill right down the hole of the baffler. I've seen that some other bikes have that mod.
Have any of you tried something like this on a C90?
Any mod that works for sure?
Without impacting the fuel system of course :) I don't want to have to buy a new chip or download new software to it.

You can't debaffle C90 pipes!!!. Do a search this topic is often brought up by newbies. Top blue bar between "New Posts" and "Quick Links" If you have destroyed them I an others have stock sets f/s cheap.

I've already searched that's how I know I can't debaffle them. But my question is if I can drill them. I haven't been able to find a post about drilling C90 (I found for others).
I don't think they are destroyed yes, since I only removed the outer ring (the one at the end - as if you were trying to debaffle C50).
How much do new ones go for anyway?

The only "mod" you can do to the 90 for exhaust would be a new full system. If you do this then you will most likely need a fuel processor, PCIII, Bully, Corbafi2000r, etc... So depending on what you buy you will be into it for $800>$1000. Believe me I know, been there done that.

So if you are interested in my stock pipes pm me.

+1. The C90 is a great bike, but it has a strange exhaust setup wich makes the pipes LOOK like a 2 into 2 system, but PERFORM more like a 2 into 1 system. Lots of people including myself have factory pipes, im sure you could easily find a set of factory ones to buy. Sorry for the bad luck dude.

oh man ... I really don't have the money for none stock pipes. I think I'll just have to use what I have for now.
I though maybe drilling straight in the baffler hole may work, but don't want to try it yet - since I don't have the $ for new pipes :)
If anybody has a diagram of the pipes, that may help. There has to be a way to get this done - it can't be that they are so good that they came up with undefeatable pipes - hee hee

Dude...its kind of a F*** up design. Look up under the bike, in front of your rear tire....there is a collector box. The "pipes" you SEE on the right side of your bike dont actually flow from the head out to the tailpipe. Also, The inside of the top pipe is different than the inside of the bottom pipe. I dont think I would run the bike with the stock pipes drilled, you may end up with a rough running bike. Frostbite offered to sell you his pipes first, so I can't offer. ;)

I guess it is difficult to say if there will or will not be damage without knowing more or seeing pics. It could cause your bike to run lean, I think, maybe. These pipes are "undefeatable". If you want a diagram go to boulevardsuzuki.com. Look under c90, parts fiche, muffler. You will be able to see the entire exhaust system.

OK, here is what I've done - see attachment DSCN4794.JPG
The top one - I've cut out a donut around the baffler and on the bottom one I've drilled out a few holes, but I noticed that the bottom one is already cut out - so I stopped there.
As you can see, the top one has another full wall few inches dipper (which is what prevented me from removing the baffler originally).

Dud if you tap into my profile box and send me an email address i can email back a video so you can finish drilling your pipes. just need to get a dill rod (wooden) to wriggle the welds loose. cher

Won't help one bit. This is not an 800 M50, C50, etc. This sucker has a muffler in front of the rear tire and the only thing that will be accomplished by losing the baffles is for the bike to sound like absolute horse %%%%. Yes, I said HORSE %%%%!!!

Here is a photo of the C90 stock exhaust. The only mod you can do to it is to cut it up and use it for christmas tree ornaments.

That is NOT TRUE frostbitevinnie!!!!! Do NOT use your stock exhaust for a christmas tree ornament.

I tried last year and it knocked the whole tree over!!

:wtf:

:lol4:

:) hee hee hee - I agree .
I already told Kaha that it won't work. The email I got from Kaha had the link that's been already posted here many times, that everybody agrees doesn't work for the C90.
I haven't messed with the pipes since I posted the pictures above. I've give up on the idea, at least until I have a spare pair :)
For now, I'm just happy to enjoy the ride. Weather has been very nice.

Ifn' you cut it up in small enough pieces it could work on the tree. I agree, the weather here has finally been perfect!! Have fun riding!!

BTW, if anyone is interested I have a Cobra FI2000r for C90 05' to current. $100 clams and she is yours. Already listed it in the F/S section thought I would double up.

I have a Bully stage 3 from G-man Ind. It was dynoed by a Intruder/c90 enthusiast and uses a modified K&N filter. A lot easier to tune than the Cobra and the the owner of G-man is a really cool and helpful dude. The dyno chart shows 68hp and 86ftlbs of torque. It's like a rocket off the line now and much better torque for passing.
